Tech Stack Survey Generator

Draft a survey your team can actually send. Choose the audience, pick the stack areas that matter, and generate a structured questionnaire with clear response instructions and copy-ready formatting.

Survey builder

Set the survey target, scope, and output style. The generator keeps wording direct and trims empty or invalid inputs before building the final draft.

Used in the introduction and follow-up notes.
Allowed range: 2 to 6. Higher depth produces longer surveys.
Optional. Separate ideas with commas or short phrases.

Planning note: This generator is a drafting aid, not a substitute for technical due diligence. Review terminology, ownership assumptions, and compliance questions before using the survey in procurement, migration, or security-sensitive workflows.

How it works

The generator builds a survey from reusable question banks, then adjusts the phrasing based on your audience and response style.

  1. Pick the audience so the intro and prompts match an internal review, client interview, vendor assessment, or migration audit.
  2. Select the stack categories you want to cover and set question depth to control how detailed the survey becomes.
  3. Choose Markdown, plain text, or JSON depending on whether you need a document draft, an email-ready survey, or a structured export for tooling.
  4. Copy the result and tailor any domain-specific questions, naming conventions, or compliance language before sending it out.

Assumptions and output notes

The draft favors plain language and practical discovery prompts over exhaustive architecture questionnaires.

  • Question count is estimated as selected categories multiplied by questions per category, plus intro and closing prompts.
  • Rounding is not used for counts. Completion time stays exactly as chosen and is presented as a planning guideline.
  • Optional goals are trimmed, deduplicated lightly by phrasing, and included as survey context rather than converted into extra questions automatically.
  • JSON output is intended for downstream systems and includes sanitized strings only, with no HTML or executable content.
